Varduva ( lit. Varduva ) is a river in the northwestern part of Lithuania , the left tributary of the Venta . It originates in 0.5 km east of the town of Barsticiai , which is about 11 km west of the city of Syad . In the upper reaches, it flows first to the southeast, then to the northeast, making a loop. At the city of Syad, it turns north and flows in this direction right up to the mouth. It flows into Venta, 182.5 km from its mouth, in the village of Grege, 2 km northwest of Lyackava, on the border with Latvia .
