Waterline

“ Waterline ” is a song by Irish pop duo Jedward , representing Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 [1] . The song became the winner in the national selection for the competition, having received the largest number of votes both from the professional jury and by telephone voting; thus, Jedward will represent Ireland for the second year in a row at Eurovision (in 2011 they represented the country with the song “ Lipstick ”) [2] .

Song Information

The premiere of the song “Waterline” took place on the air of the Mooney radio broadcast On February 9, 2012, along with four other pretender songs for Eurovision 2012 [3] . On February 24, the national final selection took place, where 5 songs were performed, claiming to participate in the competition from Ireland; “Waterline” became the winner of the selection, having received 54 points from a professional jury and 60 according to the results of a telephone vote [4] [5] .

On March 19, 2012, an official video appeared with a studio performance of the song [6] . The shooting of the Waterline video clip took place from April 1 to 7, 2012 in Tokyo [7] . The premiere of the video took place on April 16 on the official Jedward channel on YouTube [8] .
