Description
In the azure field, divided in two by a narrow golden pillar, in the right is the floor of a white eagle, in the left - two wreaths of twelve golden six-pointed stars, one above the other. The shield is crowned with a noble crown. Above it lies a golden cross, tilted to the left, above which a noble helmet, turned to the right. Crest: three ostrich feathers, scarlet between azure.
Coat of arms used
Karl-Ferdinand Grefe (d. 1840), Privy Councilor, military doctor, was elevated to the hereditary nobility of the Kingdom of Poland with the coat of arms "Grefe" in 1826 on the proposal of the Senate of the Kingdom of Poland for his merits in the field of medical sciences, and was awarded a diploma for this virtue; dignity was confirmed in the Kingdom of Prussia on November 16, 1826 [1] .
