Okanogan ( Eng. Okanogan River , in Canada also - Okanagan River ) is a river in the south of the Canadian province of British Columbia and in the state of Washington , USA. Right tributary of the Columbia River . The length is about 185 [1] km. The pool area is about 21,238 [2] km². The average water flow rate is 86 [3] m³ / s.

The river flows from the southern tip of Lake Okanagan and flows south, first through Lake Skaha , then through Lake Osoius, where it crosses the border with the United States. After crossing the border, the river flows through the Okanogan County of Washington State, forms the western border of the Colville Indian Reservation and flows into the Columbia River 8 km east of the city of Brauster, between the Chif Joseph Dam (upstream) and Wells (downstream). The height of the mouth is 239 [4] m above sea level.
The main tributaries are Similkamine , Omak Creek, Tonasket Creek and Bonaparte Creek.
