Sun Minming ( Chinese ex. 孙明明 , pinyin : Sūn Míngmíng , born August 23, 1983 in Bayan County , Heilongjiang Province) is a Chinese basketball player . He is one of the highest professional basketball players in the world - his height is 236 cm [1] , and weight - 168 kg . [2] Wearing size 20 sneakers. [3] Also took part in the filming of several films.

Biography
Sun was born in Bayan County in Heilongjiang Province. Sun has a brother and sister. [3] He started to play basketball at the age of 15, when his height reached 2 meters [4] .
Career
In early 2005, Sun left to look for a team in the United States , where he trained to enter the NBA draft . He was eligible for the 2005 NBA Draft and tried to get into the Los Angeles Lakers [5] , but was not drafted. In the summer of 2005, a player found a brain tumor in the pituitary gland [6] . Since he had neither insurance nor enough funds to pay bills (about $ 100,000), his sports agent Charles Bonsignor launched a campaign to find the funds needed for treatment [7] As a result, on September 26, 2005, the tumor was successfully removed . [8] .
After the operation, Sun played in the lower leagues of American basketball, including the United States Basketball League (USBL ) Dodge City Legend team [2] , Maryland Nighthawks of the American Basketball Association ( English Basketball Association) Association, ABA ) [9] and the Grand Rapids Flight team, representing the International Basketball League . Then for some time he played in Mexico for Fuerza Reggia [10] and in Japan for Hamamatsu Phoenix . In 2009, he returned to China , where he spent some time in Heilongjiang, and then moved to the Beijing Dax , with which he won the Chinese basketball title in 2012.

Television work
Sun appeared on television several times, including on the air of Jimmy Kimmel's live program , aired on October 11, 2006. [11] It was also a prototype for the film Anatomy of a Giant , which appeared on the Discovery Health Channel on October 15, 2006. [12] Also took part in the production of the fight in the movie Rush Hour 3 with Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker . [13]
On March 11, 2007, Sun entered the Guinness Book of Records - a list of the tallest people in the world (above 7 feet - 213 cm), along with other basketball players, including former NBA player George Mureshan .
