K-9 (serial index - R-38 , according to the classification of the US Ministry of Defense and NATO - AA-4 Awl ) - Soviet pilot air-to-air guided missile with a seeker fighter-interceptor E-152 , experimental AI Mikoyan Design Bureau ( OKB-155 ) high-speed twin-engine aircraft of the MiG-25 predecessor. It was developed and tested in the late 1950s - early 1960s, was not accepted for service, was not mass-produced.
