Located 28 km east of Tver , on the left bank of the Volga .
1 km higher along the Volga is the Lissitzky Bor boarding house. Near the village of Mishnevo , Sergeevka , Left Bank (Golodovo), Sudimirka .
History
The List of Populated Places of 1859 [1] lists the state village Lisitsy , 100 yards, 696 inhabitants, an Orthodox church. The village was located in the Tver district on the Korchevsky (Kalyazinsky) postal tract 30 miles from the city. Then the path went from Tver to Lissitz along the left bank of the Volga and from Lissitz directly to Yuryevo-Devichye and further to Korcheva .
From 1937 to 1959, Foxes were the center of the village council as part of the Orshinsky district of the Kalinin region .
In the village was born the Hero of the Soviet Union (1940) Vasily Ivanovich Galakhov (1915-1992).
