Located 16 km north of Tver , on the river Vedemya . Near the village of Mikhailovskoye .

History

Known since the 16th century as a churchyard . In the "Statistical Tables of the Monastery Lands", which were compiled during the reign of Tsar Ivan IV the Terrible , there is an entry: Wiedeml Volost. The Grand Duke owns: the Nicholabezavrovye graveyard on the Videemlya River and two villages . A volostka (small volost) is a princely inheritance or a district of villages and villages owned by one person. Pogost is originally a rural community and the center of this community. The churchyard usually had a church, church buildings, and a cemetery. Pogost Nikola Bezverkhovye is the first settlement in this area, noted in ancient documents.
