Biography
Aida Salyanova was born on August 6, 1972 in the city of Naryn of the Kyrgyz SSR .
In 1991 she graduated from the Frunze College of Soviet Trade.

The Case of Aida Salyanova
On December 26, 2016, a criminal case was opened against the former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Member of Parliament from the Ata Meken faction Aida Salyanova. The Prosecutor General’s Office and the State Committee for National Security considered that, as the head of the Ministry of Justice, Salyanova allegedly illegally renewed her lawyer license to Aleksey Eliseev, who is wanted after the April 2010 events.
On March 13, 2017, following an interrogation at the State Committee for National Security, the deputy of the Jogork Kenesh, Aida Salyanova, was indicted, choosing a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave. Litigation in this case began in late May. On September 20, 2017, prosecutors asked her for eight years in prison with confiscation of property. The district court found Salyanova guilty and sentenced to five years in prison with a delay until her child reaches 14 years of age. Her daughter is now three years old. The Bishkek City Court upheld the decision of the first instance.
Moreover, during the hearing in the Bishkek City Court, according to the defense of Salyanova, many norms of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and indeed human rights, were violated. After all, Salyanova could renew Eliseev’s lawyer license, since at that time he was not convicted in the courts.
Today, Salyanova has been deprived of the mandate of a deputy of the Kyrgyz parliament.
