Description

Fawn or dark brown fish. Bottom of the body is light with a simple pattern of scattered white or dark spots. The body is slender, almost cylindrical, slightly tapering towards the tail. The muzzle is short or slightly elongated, less than the width of the mouth. There are narrow infraorbital combs under the eyes. The width of the pectoral fins is approximately 0.7-1.4 times the width of the mouth. There are two dorsal fins of approximately the same size. The total number of vertebrae is from 119 to 148 [2] .

They are found off the coast of Australia [2] .
