The Panamanian black cat shark [1] ( Apristurus stenseni ) is one of the species of the genus of black cat shark ( Apristurus ), a family of cat sharks ( Scyliorhinidae ).

RangeThis is a poorly studied species that lives in the eastern Pacific Ocean off the coast of Panama at a depth of 915–975 m.
BiologyThe maximum fixed size is 23 cm. Males reach puberty with a length of 20.8 cm. Propagates by laying eggs.
