Creativity

Since 1996 - has been developing an artistic style - ornamentalism [6] [18] [36] :

10 years have passed since ornamentalism - a direction in art, which was invented by the artist Alexey Akindinov [1] .

Fifteen years have passed since the writing of his first paintings in this style. During this time, Alexei had to go through a difficult path of becoming himself as a bright creative person. He overcame both the resistance from his colleagues, who at first did not understand and did not accept his creative searches, as well as the difficulties in the search for a new style [4] .

A number of print and television media mentions the artist’s creative manner [17] [37] [38] [39] [40] [41] .

Concept

An artistic style inherent only in him has developed in the school, which the artist himself characterizes as ornamentalism ... “Our world,” Alexey believes, “is the world of electromagnetic waves. A wave is nothing but a pattern. It permeates all spaces, being the unchanging essence of any phenomenon. " The pattern for him is a symbol of space, infinity. He embodies the idea of a pattern in painting, layering it on real objects depicted on the canvas - on a specific plot, landscape or portrait. Through the prism of decorative patterns, Alex looks at the world. So it seems to him more convex, stereoscopic [42] [43] [44] .

The young Ryazan painter Alexey Akindinov developed a special style of writing, which he himself defined as “ornamentalism,” and proposed his own system of philosophical interpretation of artistic motifs. The works created by him synthetically combine various cultural traditions and scientific schools. He builds comprehensive pictorial and plastic combinations of heterogeneous pictorial elements that make up the figurative fabric of his works [3] [45] [46] .

As Alexey Akindinov himself admitted, signs, symbols in his paintings are words spoken in prayer. He is convinced that the pattern carries some unknown force, gives a much greater associative impulse than a spot or color ...

He is called an ornamentalist. His paintings are perceived as an organic fusion of traditional classical and avant-garde painting, ornamentalism and realism. The ornamentation of his writing carries a force that goes into the texture of the picture, in a single color. Layering on the real image of the decor creates movement, a sense of air space [14] .

The concept of ornamentalism was presented by Akindinov in more detail in his articles published in the journals Science and Religion (2003) [47] and Art Council (2009) [48] .
