The Jamaican black-billed Amazon [1] ( lat. Amazona agilis ) is a bird of the parrot family.

Content
AppearanceBody length 25 cm; weight 350 g. The plumage is green, the bottom is yellow-green, the nape feathers are with a black border, the ears of many are black. Primary flywheels are blue-violet, small coverts are red; minor flyworms are blue. The beak is dark gray, lighter at the base. The areas around the eyes and paws are gray. The female is smaller, the small coverts are greener.
DistributionLifestyleHumid tropical selva inhabit at an altitude of 600-1500 m above sea level. Live in small groups, usually up to 5 birds. However, flocks of up to 30 birds are not rare. They feed on fruits, seeds and nuts.
ReproductionThe mating season begins in early January. In clutch 2-3, rarely 4, eggs . Hatching lasts approximately 26 days. Both parents feed the chicks. After about 8 weeks, the young leave the nest, and they become completely independent after another 4 weeks.
