Jonut эeran ( rum. Ionuţ Ţăran , April 8, 1987 , Toplitz ) is a Romanian sled who has been playing for Romania since 2003. Participant of two Winter Olympic Games, multiple winner of the national championship.

Biography

Jonut Ceran was born on April 8, 1987 in the city of Toplitsa . He began to actively engage in luge at the age of twelve, in 2003 he passed the selection for the national team and, together with Cosmin Ketoru, began to take part in various international competitions. In the 2005/06 season he made his debut at the adult World Cup, taking overall twenty-third place, in addition, for the first time he participated in the races of the adult European championship, showing on the German Winterberg circuit the eighteenth result in the men's doubles and the ninth among mixed teams. Thanks to a series of successful performances, he was awarded the right to defend the country's honor at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin , where he subsequently finished eighteenth.

At the 2007 World Championships in Austria's Eagles, Ceran was thirty-fifth, while in the World Cup he took thirty-fifth. The following year, at the world championship in Oberhof, Germany, he finished seventeenth, at the European Championships in Italy, Cesan he was in fifteenth place, and after completing all the cup stages, he rose in the world ranking of the strongest sledders to the nineteenth line. In 2009, at the World Championships in American Lake Placid, he was seventeenth, while in the cup standings he was the twenty-first. I went to compete at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver , where I came to finish seventeenth. The cup cycle ended in twenty-third place overall.

In 2011, at the World Championships in Cesan, he took nineteenth place, in the world cup ranking was twenty-fourth, and a year later - twenty-third. Nowadays, Jonut Tseran lives and trains in the city of Harghita .
