Lesser Elobey ( Spanish Elobey Chico ) is a small island in the Gulf of Guinea, Atlantic Ocean . Belongs to Equatorial Guinea . Located near the mouth of the Mitemele River, near the border with Gabon , about 100 km south of the city of Bath . Now the island is uninhabited, but at one time was the colonial capital of Rio Muni . Nearby is the island of Big Elobey .
