Napoleon Zervas ( Greek Ναπολέων Ζέρβας ; May 17, 1891 , Arta - December 10, 1957 , Athens ) - Greek political and military leader, founder of the People's Republican Greek League , member of the Resistance movement in Greece .

Biography
Born in 1891 in Arta (region of Epirus) . After graduating from high school research, he joined the Volunteer Army (1910). He participated in the Balkan wars of 1912-1913.
He joined the National Defense movement (1916), participated in the struggle for Macedonia (1917-1918), and rose to the rank of colonel. After the defeat of the liberals in the elections, he fled to Istanbul, returned to Athens after the 1922 revolution, and joined the army.
After the dictatorship of Theodoros Pangalos came to power (June 1925), he was appointed commander in Athens, and also took command of the battalion of the Republican Guard. In the August 22, 1926 coup, Georgios Kondilis overthrew Pangalos. Zervas tried to confront Condilis, which led to a military confrontation in Athens, where government troops won and Zervas was convicted.
On September 9, 1941, he founded the People's Republican Greek League, whose formal political leader was Nikolaos Plastiras , who was in exile in France.
After the war he established the National Party. In the March 31, 1946 election, his party won 25 seats in the Greek parliament . Combined his party with the Liberal Party. September 2, 1950 became Minister of Public Order in the government of Sophocles Venizelos . In the next election he did not receive a post and left politics. He died on December 10, 1957 in Athens.
