Bifiditermes (lat.) - a genus of termites of the family Kalotermitidae . Southeast Asia , Australia , New Zealand , Afrotropica , Madagascar . Color from brown to dark brown. The eyes of adults are large (0.37-0.64 mm in diameter). In antennae 10–18 segments in soldiers and 15–20 segments in adult adults. The head of a soldier is long and thin; sides are subparallel. Mandibles long, straight, curved only at the ends. Formula of spurs of tibia: 3-3-3 [3] [4] [2] .

Systematics
About 10 species [3] . The genus was described in 1961 by the American termitologist Kumar Krishna during the revision of the Kalotermitidae family. It was composed of species previously included in the genera Kalotermes and Procryptotermes . The genus is closest to the genera Epicalotermes and Bicornitermes in the structure of wings and mandibles of adults [2] .
