Vertebrae is the tenth studio album of the Norwegian black metal band Enslaved [3] , released on September 29, 2008 , that is, after the band changed its label from Tabu Recordings to Indie Records. The album was also released in May 2009 in two Deluxe formats. The cover for all versions of the album was created by the famous artist-designer Trulls Espedal.

Style, reviews from critics
The album received positive reviews from critics. [ what? ] and several prestigious awards. It was for Vertebrae that the group was nominated for the third time in five years for the prestigious Spellemannprisen Metal Award.
It should also be noted that on this album Enslaved has completely switched from Viking metal to progressive black .
