Story

The film, created in the genre of comedy-dramatic fantasy melodrama with elements of an action movie, tells the story of Yo Kyung Jin ( Gianna Chung ), a young girl working in the police. The story of her acquaintance with Ko Myeong-woo ( Chan Hyuk ), a physics teacher, his subsequent death and, finally, their farewell meeting before his spirit must leave the Earth.

The first frames of the film show bird's-eye views of the night city to the song of Bob Dylan “Knocking on the Sky Door” performed by Yu Mi (유미). Then we see the skyscraper Yo Kyung Jin standing on the edge of the roof. She closes her eyes, the camera makes a smooth turn, and we see in slow motion how it falls. Behind the scenes is the voice of Myeong-woo: “Her name is Yo Kyung-jin. A strange feeling appears inside me, even when I simply pronounce her name. " He says that he always dreamed of going on a journey with the girl he loves. And they really went on a trip. "But, unfortunately, my fate ... However, I will not run ahead, I will begin with how we met." Events are returning to the past. To the women’s screams, “He grabbed a bag!” Myung-woo runs down the street. Gyeong Jin emerges from a cosmetic store in trousers with the words “Italia”. Her face is blown by a gust of wind. Myung-woo runs past her. A screaming woman falls. Kyung Jin looks at her, takes off her shoe and throws Myung-woo after her. But he misses and gets into a random passerby. Then she rushes after Myung-woo in pursuit, not forgetting to pick up a shoe and apologize to the victim. “Hey you!” She screams, Myung-woo turns to run. “It's not me, why are you following me? The real thief is leaving. " Kyung Jin jumps and knocks Myung-woo off his feet. He takes a shampoo from his bag and smears his face and eyes. “I don’t see anything!” Myung-wan groans. Wringing his hands with a comb, E leads Myung-woo to the police station. Says the woman already there: "Here is your thief, I caught him at the crime scene." Myung-woo says he can draw a portrait of a real criminal. Which he does and then takes turns drawing all those in the police station but except for Gyeong Jin. Some time later, he finds a stolen bag, but as soon as he picks it up, Gyeong Jin is caught again. Fortunately for him, by that time a real thief had already been caught, thanks to his cell phone, and for the second time he was taking him to the police for the second time, Gyong Jin had no choice but tossing his bag away. But now Myung-woo is furious. "Hey! You could at least apologize! ”He shouts after her. She turns around and declares: “The words“ I'm sorry ”are not in my dictionary. I’ll tell him if only you change your name and they will call you this: Sorry! ”

Myeong-woo comes to the police station to take part in voluntary patrolling of the red light district, but it turns out that he was late and he gets into his companions just delivered the next detainee Kyung Jin. Having had a bite at his expense, she then sorted out in her style a group of leading high school students passing defiantly as a result of which they ended up on the ground, and one of them called out dad for fear. Then she notices how two people are exchanging drugs for money on a side street and, telling Myung-woo that if they follow the seller they will immediately cover the entire gang, decides to follow one of them. Myung-woo says that in this case he goes home and immediately feels the handcuffs snap on his right wrist. Kyung Jin chained him to his left hand.

Nothing to do, Myung-woo, along with Kyung Jin, sneaks behind the dealer, climbs over the wall and, bursting through the slammed door, they stumble upon two gangs conducting negotiations. “Everyone can't move!” Kyung Jin yells. The bandits immediately take out their weapons and instruct each other. “You betrayed us!” - Russian speech is heard. One of the gangs is the “Russian Mafia”, which is unclear by what gust of wind it brought to Korea. The door opened by Kyung Jin suddenly slams shut loudly, and the bandits start shooting at each other with a sharp sound, rapidly decreasing in number. Kyung Jin actively helps them with this. “We must take the leader!” Decides Kyung Jin. The last remaining leader is trying to escape, swearing in Russian. “Stand!” Kyung Jin shouts after him in Korean. The leader stops and raises his hands, since by that time the police had arrived and he had nowhere to go. Here again the "dealer" appears and furiously attacks Kyon Jin, so she has to apply a painful technique. Then, howling in pain, the “dealer” claims to be an “andekave”. “What is andekave?” Kyung Jin asks. Detective Kim comes up and reports that the andekave is an undercover cop.

Myeong-woo and Kyung-jin climb the wall in the opposite direction, and it turns out that Kyung-jin lost the key to the handcuffs. Holding hands, they return to the station, but there is no key. In addition, it turns out that the father of the beaten Kyung Jin schoolboy is a big shot and almost a gangster. Kyung Jin is in trouble. Dad was not slow to appear along with his people. He begins to threaten and whip Kyung Jin on the cheeks. Myung-woo can’t endure this, he snatches out Kyung Jin’s gun, claims to be a seasoned criminal, and he can’t harm him anymore. In addition, he was tired of this life in which the rich get away with everything. He makes them apologize and run away in fear. Still chained to each other, Myung-woo and Kyung-jin take turns washing and going to bed on neighboring beds, connected not only by handcuffs but also by their crossed little fingers.

Kyung Jin comes to school at Myeong-woo, brings him lunch and tells the students that he is her boyfriend and "they were already sleeping together." She also draws attention to poems written at the door.

Myung-woo is dragging repair supplies into Kyong Jin’s apartment on the top floor. There she tells him that she went to the police because of her twin sister who died in a car accident, which was for her black piano keys and she herself was white. Since then, she plays only on white keys. They color the windows, put things in order, after which Kyung Jin prepares food, and Myung-woo rips out a page from her magazine and, having made an airplane out of it, lets Kyung Jin in the back.

They meet in a cafe and give each other the same book of poems by Pi Jung Duc, whose author Kyung Jin read the lines in Myung W.'s class. After fooling around in the rain under Maurice Williams's song “Stay”. Then they tremble from the cold in front of the fireplace.

Kyung Jin pursues the criminals who stole the woman, not afraid to shoot after them. Myung-woo calls her at this time and decides to help. It all ends with the fact that he himself is almost killed when he sneaks behind the bandits between the walls, but nevertheless he distracted the criminals and prevented them from killing the hostage.

Kyung Jin visits him again at school. When Myung-woo is circling around her in a newly purchased car, she portrays herself shooting at him. They decide to go on a trip around the country together. During it, the two of them run out onto the lawn in the mountains and stand, breathing in the wind, arms outstretched. "I must have been a wind in a past life," Myung W. says. "When I'm not around, consider me to be in the wind." “So this wind is you?” Asks Kyung Jin. " We are friends! If I die, I want to become a wind! ”He declares with a smile. The journey continues. They stop in a house in the village and sit together at the stove. Kyung Jin tells Myung-woo why people put their little fingers together when they make promises. “Once upon a time there was a princess and she was so smart and beautiful that princes from all countries wooed her. And finally, five of them were chosen for the final decision. ” Among the princes, you can see a policeman from the police station, a thief who grabbed a bag, an andekave agent, and also a giant of enormous growth. Having hidden her hand, the princess bent all fingers except one, and guessing which one remained unbent and would become her husband. And the little finger remained unbent. The princess goes from right to left, and the princes take turns raising their fingers. Big. Not that. Pointing. Average. Nameless. Seeing that he was mistaken, the penultimate giant faints. The last prince is Myung W. He lifts the little finger. Here is the groom. He and the princess cross their little fingers.

Kyung Jin cools the listener with a dreamy smile, Myung-woo. "But the prince had to go to war. He promised the princess that he would return. Ten years have passed, but he still is not. Finally, he returned as a tramp, but it turned out that he died on his way home and only his ghost returned to fulfill his promise. And the ghost must leave this world 49 days after death. Finally, the princess found the body of her husband and was poisoned. " "That's why people put their little fingers together when they make promises."

“Would you die for me like this princess?” Myung-woo asks Kyung Jin. “Absolutely what ?! Why is that?"

With her eyes closed, Myung-woo is trying to kiss Kyung Jin, but instead she kisses the smoldering branch she has set up and burns her lips. “Maybe you'll apologize now?” He says, blowing hot food. But Kyung Jin is not going to.

They continue the journey, a thunderstorm breaks out, stones fly off the road, and their car falls into the river. Myung-woo is losing consciousness. Kyung Jin manages to pull him ashore, but he does not breathe. She gives him artificial respiration and an indirect heart massage, in the end she just starts pounding on it, shouting: “Breathe!” And coughing, Myung-woo comes to life. In the evening, Kyung Jin pulls him to the road, and a truck with soldiers picks them up. “Why did you save me?” Myung W. asks. “I don't want to die next to you,” Kyung Jin replies.

They are returning to their ordinary lives. Myung-woo teaches, Kyung Jin is chasing after criminals. During the pursuit of Xin Chan Su Myung-woo who escaped from prison, she joins her again. Hitting Kyung Jin with a knife, Shin tries to escape in the darkness of the night. Kyung Jin shoots after him. On the same street, Myung W. is standing in the shade. Detective Kim and his partner join the chase unnoticed by Kyung Jin. Kyung Jin and Kim both shoot at Sina, but Kim's bullet hits Myeong-woo in the heart. Kyung Jin thinks that she killed him and is trying to commit suicide: to shoot herself, to poison herself and, finally, to rush from a skyscraper. Before the last, she feeds in the cafe molesting the children who fled from her house. When she jumps down, the audience gathered at the concert passing below will release balloons into the sky. And Kyung Jin falls right on one of them, in the form of an open palm, and remains alive. Then she notices a paper plane flying in the sky. He picks it up and, returning home, compares it with the sheet that Myung-woo pulled out of her magazine. This is the same plane.

The curtains begin to flutter. The room is blowing in the wind. “Men Woo!” Kyung Jin screams. “Have you really become the wind ?! I can’t believe it! ”Sounds the band X Japan's song“ Tears ”. Kyung Jin makes a windmill from the magazine page and outlines on the calendar on October 31. “This day is 49 from your death. Then you will leave me forever. But before that I will see you. ”

Kyung Jin gets into Kim's companions, who is so shocked that he constantly drops cigarettes from his mouth. And fearlessly risks his life by stopping a stolen car or freeing a hostage. Picking up the piano lid, she sees that all the black keys are now painted white. Nearby lies Myung Woo's note: “I want you to play all the keys, I want you to be yourself.” And with tears in her eyes, Kyung Jin begins to play ...

Together with Kim, they again try to take Sina. Kim is hurt. Kyung Jin runs after shooting, following Sin in an underground parking lot, hearing from the past all his conversations with Myung W. Kim kills Sin, but Kyon Jin is seriously injured. While she is being taken to the operating room, Kim tries to admit that it was he who killed Myung-woo. In a coma, Kyung Jin has a dream about her meeting with Myung-woo, who tells her that she must put up with the fact that he is dead. She has a desire to fight for life, and the operation is successful.

Kyung Jin wakes up in the hospital on the last day of October. And he sees a flying paper plane outside the window. Grasping her heart, she runs down the street after him to her home and opens the windows. The wind blows again and the windmills made by it spin. The wind subsides and Myung-wu appears. “I see you,” Kyung Jin says with tears. “Someone heard my request,” he replies. “I'm glad to see you for the last time.” The room floods with light. Myung-woo turns to leave. “Don't leave!” Kyung Jin screams. “If you leave, then I will follow you!” “No, your time has not come yet. We will see each other again, don’t you feel it? And then you will tell me about all the happy moments of your life. I am always with you. And when you hear my whisper in the voice of the wind, then you will meet a man whose soul is the same as mine. "" Sorry! "- Kyon Jin tells him sobbing after him. Myung-woo turns around and says with a smile: “Don't call me that. My name is still Myung-woo. ”

The police Kyung Jin give away a book on which her name is written. This book was forgotten in Myung-woo cafe when he last ran to her aid. Kyung Jin takes out from her an enclosed photograph on which, on the one hand, Myung-woo in school years with her hands in a cast and on the other she herself. So they were always there. Kyung Jin hears Myung-woo's voice: "Remember, I told you about someone whose soul is the same as mine? You will meet him. Today!"

“Who brought this book?” Asks Kyung Jin. She runs down the street in search of this man and finds herself on the subway platform, where some stranger saves her from an approaching train. Kyung Jin and he look at each other. Myung-woo's voice sounds: “Meet my girlfriend. Her name is Kyung Jin. Yo Kyung Jin. She shed a lot of tears because of me. There is something special about it that nobody can touch.”
