Story
The film combines two books: "The Color of Magic" ( eng. The Color of Magic ) and "Mad Star" ( eng. Light fantastic ).
The first (and possibly the only) tourist of the Dvatsvetok Flat World arrives in Ankh-Morpork . He has an iconograph, glasses-bikes and a Chest . In the tavern Dvatsvetok met with the hapless and cowardly wizard Rinswind and hires him guide. Two flowers are positively tuned and absolutely sure that nothing terrible can happen to him, so he boldly goes to meet the adventures.
At this time, the treacherous magician Trimon steals an ancient book of spells and with its help hopes to overthrow the main wizard of the Invisible University and establish its own rules in the Wizards Guild. From the side, events are being watched by Death , and since he can see both the past and the future, Death knows that it is Dvintsevtok, Rincewind and Chest that can prevent Trimon. But on their way are dragons, trolls, hired killers, the water element and many more. Two flowers and Rincewind set fire to the city and travel "off the edge of the Disk" in search of the eighth spell from the book Octave, which can save the whole world from a collision with a comet and death.

Reviews and criticism
Expectations were great, but the film did not cause much enthusiasm [5] , although it did not cause much disappointment. “The special effects are inexpensive, but not hacky; and Jason at first seems oldish for the role, but you quickly get used to the fussy old man Rinswind, ”Lev Gursky writes, noting that“ the filmmakers were quite careful about the story ” [6] .
It was in the “visual special effects” category that the film was nominated for the British television award BAFTA , but did not receive the award.
