Zhaotong Apostolic Prefecture ( Latin: Praefectura Apostolica Chaotungensis ) is the Apostolic Prefecture of the Roman Catholic Church with its center in Zhaotong , China . Zhaotong Apostolic Prefecture extends its jurisdiction over part of Yunnan Province . Apostolic Prefecture Zhaotun reports directly to the Holy See .

Content
History
On April 8, 1935, Pope Pius XI issued the ad christianum bull , which established the apostolic prefecture of Zhaotun, isolating it from the apostolic vicariate of Yunnan (today the Archdiocese of Kunming ).
