Murzalar

Murzalar ( Bashk. Myrgalar ) is a tribe in the Aylin group of Bashkirs . The second name of the Murzalar Bashkirs is Uleshte ( Bashk. Өlәshtә ) [1] . The descendants of the Murzalar residents live in the Salavat district.

Ethnic History

The ancestors of the Murzalarites were part of the union of the Pecheneg - Oguz tribes of the Syr Darya and Aral Sea steppes of the 7th-9th centuries. In the southern Urals, the Murzalarians originally occupied the territory of the A, Belaya , Yaik (Ural), Uy , Miass rivers. Under the pressure of Tabyn clans at the end of the 15th century the Murzalarians and the rest of the Aylins moved to the north-east of modern Bashkortostan (the Aisko-Yuryuzan interfluve). They joined the Russian state under the leadership of Kursai bay batyr. Modern Murzalar residents mainly live in the Salavat region: Murzalar-Mechetli, Kusepei, Akhun, Iltai, Musat, Beshevlyar, Yaubulyak, Kuselyar, Arkaul, Makhmut, 1st Idelbai (Badrak), 2nd Idelbai (Badrak), Tashaul. Ethnonym

According to legend, the founder of the mursalar tribe was Myrzabek Bey, who moved to the Urals after a black horse. Came out with the rest of the tribe of the Isle tribe from the Cayep area. The area (city, or region) Kayep was located in the foothills of Karatau, or near the Syr Darya.
