Biography

Since August 18, 1814 he served as the ruler of the office of the Disability Committee. In 1816 he was awarded a doctorate (“Doctor of both rights”) at Kharkov University . In 1818, having received the rank of VII class , he became the librarian of the Guard General Staff (from 1819 A.X. Benckendorf was the chief of staff. From February 24, 1819 to July 15, 1823 he was the ruler of the office of the Committee, the Highest established in the 18th day of August 1814 [3] .

Secret agent of the government (1820). After the uprising of the Semenovsky regiment (1820) he took upon himself the organization of a secret military police. In 1821 he reported on the Decembrist societies [2] , his note on a secret society was transmitted by A.X. Benckendorf to Alexander I [4] . He was a member of the Indigenous Council of the Union of Welfare , which was disregarded by the Highest Command.

June 6, 1821 granted to college counselors . From July 15, 1823 to January 31, 1826, he was the Simbirsk vice-governor , after which he was called to Petersburg and "used on special instructions." He participated in arrests in the case of the Decembrists; lists of participants in the conspiracy were compiled, including on the basis of denunciations of MK Gribovsky [5] .

March 16, 1826 granted to state councilors . In 1826, he stayed in Nizhny Novgorod , acting as a secret agent, reported to Dibich about violations committed during the transportation of the Decembrists to Siberia [6] . On September 15, 1827, on the recommendation of A.X. Benckendorff (with whom he had been in a long-standing business relationship, serving as his agent and taking advantage of his location), he was appointed Slobodsko-Ukrainian Governor. In October 1828, by the Highest Command, he was removed from office and put on trial “in various subjects”; the reason was the denunciation of the gendarme headquarters officer Bakhmetev, who accused the governor of abuse [7] , which was a reaction to the attempts of MK Gribovsky to combat bribery . The case was considered in the Senate , which on January 21, 1831 decided to collect additional information about M.K. Gribovsky . It was not possible to prove the involvement of MK K. Gribovsky in abuses in the collection of taxes [7] .

In 1833, was listed under the heraldry .
