Botanical description
Annual or perennial herbaceous plants. The leaves are simple, more often - dentate-incised or dissected, opposite. The flowers are white or whitish in different shades, collected in heads , have 5 fused petals , a single column .
Spread
Representatives of the family are common in South America .
