Borovskaya volost is a historical administrative-territorial unit within the Barnaul district of the Tomsk province (since 1917 - the Altai province ).

Content
History
The volost was formed in 1897 , by separating the Barnaul district from the Kasmalinsky volost in the course of changes in the administrative-territorial division of the Tomsk province (a number of new volosts were formed within the existing Barnaul district, and the district was transformed into Barnaul district). After the formation of the Altai province on June 17, 1917, it continued to exist as part of the Barnaul district until May 27, 1924 , when the Borovsky district of the Barnaul district of the Altai province was created on the basis of the abolished Borovskaya volost.
The former Borovskaya volost currently occupies part of the Mamontovskoy and Aleisky districts of the Altai Territory . The volost was well developed, on its territory there were about 200 agricultural machinery for 11 settlements, there were many butter production and a wide range of other crafts: pimokatny, tailoring, trading, carpentry, shoemaking, sledding and others [1] .

During the existence of the volost, its population was constantly growing: according to the data of 1899, it amounted to 17624 people (8975 men and 8649 women), and according to the 1911 census there are already 27901 people (14205 men and 13696 women)) [3] . As a part of the volost, all settlements were preserved, with the exception of the village of Syropyatsky transferred to Kasmalinsky volost .
