Biography

In 1939 he graduated from 9 classes of a secondary school in the city of Komsomolsk . From 1939 to 1941 he studied at the Ivanovo flying club .

Since May 1941 he served in the Red Army . He graduated from the Borisoglebsk Military Aviation Pilot School named after Chkalov in 1944 (at that time the aviation school was evacuated in the city of Troitsk, Chelyabinsk Region . After graduation, he was sent as an instructor to the 4th reserve fighter aviation regiment ( 5th reserve Air Brigade , Air Force of the Kharkov Military District ), which operated in the village of Rogan, Kharkiv Region . Since November 1946, served as an instructor pilot at the Chuguev Military Aviation School of Pilots . From March 1950 - The senior pilot of the 32nd Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment ( 324th Fighter Aviation Division , Moscow Military District ). Before being sent to the Far East, where the Korean War broke out , he was transferred as a senior pilot to the 196th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the same division on the initiative of the commander this regiment E. G. Pepelyaeva .

In December 1950, he left with the regiment to the Far East , in February 1951 he was transferred to Northern China . As part of the regiment from April 1951 to February 1952 he participated in the hostilities in Korea. During the period of participation in hostilities in the sky, the DPRK carried out about 150 sorties, conducted about 50 air battles, personally shot down 7 enemy planes (5 F-86 Saber , 1 F-80 Shooting Star , 1 F-84 Thunderjet ). For differences in battles at the front, he was appointed unit commander in February 1952. Paired with Alfeyev slave, Hero of the Soviet Union F. A. Shebanov flew to his death (6 victories).

For heroism in the battles over the DPRK, he was presented for the assignment of the Hero of the Soviet Union title by regiment commander E. G. Pepelyaev and division commander I. N. Kozhedub . However, in Moscow, the assignment of the title of Hero was refused, two orders of the Red Banner became an award for participation in this war.

After the war, he served in the Soviet Air Force. In February 1952, he was promoted to deputy squadron commander of the 196th Fighter Aviation Regiment. Since May 1953 he served in the 176th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment ( 52nd Air Defense Fighter Army , Moscow Air Defense District ): squadron commander, from October 1955 - deputy regiment commander for flight training. Since October 1956, he served as an assistant commander of the 324th Air Defense Fighter Division for fire and tactical training. Since August 1958, he was deputy commander of the 205th fighter aviation regiment in the same 52nd air fighter army. Since April 1959 - commander of the 191st fighter aviation regiment ( 328th fighter aviation division , 78th fighter air defense corps , 52nd air defense fighter army , Moscow Air Defense District ). Since April 1960, he was seconded to the Central Committee of DOSAAF , in August 1960 he was appointed deputy for flight training of the head of the Kaluga DOSAAF Aviation Training Center. 1st class military pilot (October 1950). In February 1963, Lieutenant Colonel V.I. Alfeev resigned.

He lived in Ivanovo. He died in 1983 .
