Oulu (airport)

Oulu Airport ( IATA : OUL , ICAO : EFOU ) ( Fin. Oulun lentoasema ) is located in Oulunsalo , Finland , about 6 km southwest [1] from the center of Oulu . This is Finland’s second largest passenger traffic after Helsinki-Vantaa , in 2011 973 912 passengers passed through it [2] and a significant amount of cargo. Connected to Helsinki-Vantaa with twelve daily flights.

Oulu Airport is also used by the Finnish Air Force for training flights. The old terminal was recently demolished and the new one was significantly expanded, where telescopic ladders were introduced (September 2011). [3] Airport management company - Finavia . Since May 2007, Oulu Airport has had a free wireless network for passengers [4]

In 2014, Finavia will carry out significant work to modernize the airport [5] .

Oulu Airport has one runway 2.5 km long and 60 m wide. The runway is equipped with Instrument Landing System (ILS) category II. [one]
