Biography
While studying at the University of Warsaw in 1877, he became acquainted with socialist ideas and engaged in revolutionary activities. Until 1878, collaborating with L. Varynsky , he was involved in the creation of the first revolutionary circles in Odessa and Warsaw. He was in an illegal situation, in 1878, under the threat of arrest, went to Geneva , where he studied medicine in 1878-1881, and then to Paris .
He was among the founders of the journal "Equality" (Paul. "Równo »ć") (1879-1881) and "Dawn" (Paul. "Przedświt") (1884-1886).
Kazimir Dlusky is one of the pioneers of the theory of historical materialism and revolutionary Marxism . The propagandist of the idea of a world revolution , which also had to solve the Polish national question.
In 1894-1898 he was a member of the Foreign Union of Socialists of Poland.
From 1900, he settled in Zakopane , where in 1902 he founded an anti- tuberculosis sanatorium , which he managed until 1919.
In 1909 - co-founder and president from 1910 to 1919 of the Tatran voluntary rescue service . In 1912 he headed the Tatra Museum Society.
During the First World War, K. Dłuski was a supporter of J. Pilsudski and the creation of the Polish Legions .
In 1919 he represented Poland at the Paris Peace Conference on the signing of the Treaty of Versailles , was a member of the Polish National Committee.
After returning to Poland, he devoted himself to medicine: the fight against tuberculosis, cancer and alcoholism .
He was married to the elder sister of M. Skłodowska-Curie - Bronislav .
