Features
WASP-63 is a star of 11.2 visible magnitude, which in size and mass exceeds our Sun. Its mass and radius are 1.32 and 1.88 solar. [1] The surface temperature is about 5570 Kelvin .
Planet System
In 2011, a group of astronomers working as part of the SuperWASP program announced the discovery [1] of the planet WASP-63 b in the system. This is a gas giant with a mass and radius of 0.38 and 1.43 Jupiter, respectively. The planet is drawn at a distance of about 0.05 AU from the parent star, making a revolution for more than four days. The discovery of the planet was accomplished by the transit method .
