Nothing is known about the origin of Summer. Around 185, he was the curator of the Arabian Petrei province. In the years 200–203 he was the prefect of Egypt . In 205, he, along with Emilie Papinian, became the prefect of the Praetorian Guard , replacing the slain Guy Fulvius Plavtian in this post. Years held this position until 211 years. In 215, he became a consul with Mark Munatsy Sulla Tserial . It is not known whether he received the consulate after receiving ornamenta consularia or after adlectio inter consulares .
