History
The village of Rozhdestveno-Suvorovo was "in the second camp of the Moscow district , 35 miles from Moscow along the Dmitrovsky highway through the Butyrskaya Zastava ."
In the XVI century, the village of Rozhdestveno-Mikhailovo was listed as a wasteland . With this name (Mikhailovo) in 1585 it belonged to Molchanov . After the Time of Troubles, Rozhdestveno turns into a village. In 1665, a wooden church was built there in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the refectory of the church, two chapels are arranged - in the name of the holy prophet of God Elijah and the holy martyr Mokias .
In 1620, according to the sovereign's granted letter, the village became the property of the stolnik Pogozhev , and then, changing several owners, passed to the princes Baryatinsky .
Since 1678, the land was the patrimony of Yu. N. Baryatinsky and his heirs. At the turn of the XVII and XVIII centuries, instead of a wooden church, a stone church was built, which was included in architectural directories among other churches related to manor architecture. Researchers believe that the construction of the church began in 1694, and was completed in 1697, when antimins were issued and the church was consecrated. Prince Fyodor Yuryevich Baryatinsky did not live to see the completion of construction and died a year before the consecration of the temple in 1696, and his son, Ivan Fyodorovich Baryatinsky, completed the construction. In 1773, the estate of Ivan Sergeyevich Baryatinsky was acquired by General-General Vasily Ivanovich Suvorov . Then the name was changed to Rozhdestveno-Suvorovo. [9]
In winter, Vasily Ivanovich lived in Moscow on Nikitskaya Street in the house of Gagman , and spent the summer in Rozhdestveno. The senator did not live here for long - he died on June 27, 1775 and was, according to some reports, buried in a crypt under the church. His son, the commander Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov , has been here many times. By his order, a tombstone was erected at the south wall of the church in the form of a stone sarcophagus. And on the outer altar wall there was a marble plaque with the inscription: “Here lies the remains of General-General Vasily Ivanovich Suvorov, who died on July 15, 1775” [10] .
The village passed to Alexander Vasilievich Suvorov, in 1798 he divided the estate between his children. Later - from 1840 to 1852 - passed to his grandson, His Grace Prince Alexander Arkadevich .
The severe test for Rozhdestveno was 1812. The French entered Moscow abandoned. Winter was approaching, provisions and fodder were running out. In search of profit, French troops plundered the Moscow region. One of the detachments was heading along the Dmitrov road, which ran not far from the village. Rozhdestveno. Here the French burned the Suvorovs house and, without touching the temple, went on. Until today, French coins and horseshoes are found at their parking lot. [eight]
In 1813, the village of Konaevo entered the parish of the village of Rozhdestvena-Suvorov, in which a stone chapel with the Holy and Georgian icons of the Mother of God was built on the site of the burned church.
At the end of the 19th century, A. A. Suvorov sold the estate to a family of Armand factory owners. The manor has preserved the remains of an old park and a pond. The Suvorov House, burned down in 1812, was rebuilt, subsequently transported by the Armands to their factory in Pushkino . Since 1890, the estate was owned by the manufactory-adviser Evgeny Ivanovich (Louis-Eugene) Armand (1809-1890).
Theotokos-Nativity Church
Closed in 1939.
The temple was not damaged in the Great Patriotic War, and although the front line passed very close (the channel section from Yakhroma to Dmitrov served as the defense line of Moscow ), not a single enemy shell touched the village.
In the late 1970s, restoration began, after which the church opened in 1989. A three-tier iconostasis was built. Among the shrines preserved are the temple icon of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Crucifixion. The temple is presented with old and newly painted revered icons.
The church was restored thanks to the efforts of Svyatoslav Nikolaevich Fedorov and employees of the Moscow Research Institute of Eye Microsurgery (Fedorov Center) .
Rector - Priest Father Sergius (Sergey Vladimirovich Svistunov). He also owns the initiative to erect a monument to A.V. Suvorov. [eleven]
The temple celebrated its 300th anniversary in 1997 with a festive divine service performed by Metropolitan Krutitsky and Kolomensky Juvenal in the presence of distinguished guests.
On October 9, 2011, in the village of Rozhdestvenno-Suvorovo, Mytishchi district, closely associated with the name of A.V. Suvorov, with the blessing of Metropolitan Juvenal, celebrations took place to mark the unveiling of a monument to the legendary Russian commander in the square of the Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God. On this day, the Liturgy in the ancient Church of the Nativity of the Virgin, in which at one time A.V. Suvorov sang on the choir and read the Apostle, was performed by the dean of the churches of the Mytishchi district Archpriest Dimitry Olovyannikov in the service of the Mytishchi clergy. At the end of the service, the grand opening of the monument, built and installed at the expense of philanthropists, took place. [12]
There were Suvorov , Nakhimov , and Cadets . Representatives of Cossack detachments and associations, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Airborne Forces and other military structures arrived in a special order. [13]
A feasible part in the manufacture and installation of the monument was taken by graduates of the Tula-Caucasian company of the Krasnodar-Caucasian Suvorov School , graduates of the Sverdlovsk Suvorov School [14]
Ophthalmologist Svyatoslav Nikolaevich Fedorov was buried in front of the church cemetery. Actor Alexander Porokhovshchikov and his parents are buried in the same cemetery.
Every year, in the Rozhdestveno district, the regional festival of the author’s song “Suvorov Bivouac” is held , the jury of which includes famous authors-performers V. Kapger , V. Luferov , A. Mirzayan , A. Kosenkov and others.
