Biography

Born on February 12, 1923 in the village of Ozyory, Kolomenskoye Uyezd (now the city, the district center) of the Moscow Region in a working class family. Russian. In 1930, he moved with his parents to the city of Kolomna . He studied at school here, but failed to finish 7 classes due to the death of his father. To help his mother, he entered the school of factory apprenticeship at the Kolomna Engineering Plant . Having received the specialty of a locksmith, he worked as a specialist in a factory.

In the summer of 1941 he was drafted into the Red Army. At the front since 1942. In the first battles he was wounded. After the hospital, he graduated from junior lieutenant courses. Again at the front since July 1943. In August he was awarded the Order of the Red Star . Particularly distinguished when crossing the Dnieper .

September 20, 1943 during the crossing of the Dnieper River in the area of ​​the village of Teremtsy ( Chernobyl district of the Kiev region) of the Guard, Lieutenant Isaev with his platoon covered the crossing. The guards repelled 5 enemy counterattacks. The commander was wounded, but remained in service. When the main forces crossed the water barrier, the comrades counted up hundreds of corpses of Nazi soldiers and officers near the Isaev’s defense line. In this battle, Isaev personally destroyed up to a dozen enemy soldiers.

The bleeding soldiers from Isaev’s platoon were bandaged by orderlies and sent to the left bank to the medical battalion. The brave officer died from his wounds on September 26. He was buried in the village of Otashev, Chernobyl district, Kiev region.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 16, 1943, for the courage and courage shown in the battles to keep the bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnieper, the guard, Lieutenant Isaev Konstantin Konstantinovich was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union posthumously.

He was awarded the Order of Lenin, Red Star.

In the historical part of Kolomna there is Isaev Street. In the Memorial Park on the Alley of Memory, a bust of the Hero is installed. His name was given to vocational school No. 6, which he graduated from. A monument was erected in the square in front of the school. A memorial plaque was reinforced at the diesel locomotive workshop of the diesel locomotive plant, informing that K.K. Isaev worked here.
