The Von Bondies is an American alternative rock band that existed from 1997 to 2011.

The band was born in 1997 when Jason Stollsteimer and Marcie Bolen were present at The Cramps / Guitar Wolf [1] . The first name "The Baby Killers" and the composition of the group changed by the year 2000. At the band’s performance at the New Year’s show in Detroit in 2000, was the owner of Sympathy for the Record Industry , after which the debut album “Lack of Communication” was released on this label in 2001. In 2003, Raw and Rare ( Dim Mak Records ) followed, and in 2004 the breakthrough album Pawn Shoppe Heart ( Sire Records ).
The album reached 36th position on the UK Albums Chart [2] and 8th position on the Billboard 's Top Heatseekers chart and lasted 8 weeks on the chart [3] . The single “C'mon C'mon” from this album reached the 25th position on the Billboard Hot 100 and received national radio coverage. An abridged version of the song was used in the screensaver for the television series Save Me , and was also performed live by the group in the Michael Winterbottom film 9 songs . MLB Network also used an excerpt from the song at the opening of the show “30 Clubs in 30 Days”.
The group often traveled on tours in America, Europe and Australia as headliners, along with bands The Kills , Kasabian , Franz Ferdinand , Modey Lemon , SSM , The Subways , The Stills , Hot Panda and The Donnas [4] . They also participated in the Late Show with David Letterman , Last Call with Carson Daly and CD: UK [5] .
In July 2011, the group was disbanded [6] .
