Despite the fact that among the children of Genghis Khan, the most respected were those born from his elder wife Borte , Kulhan had equal rights on a par with Juchi , Chagatai , Ugadei and Toluy [3] . Even during the life of his father, Kulkhan was commanded by 4 thousand people, among whom Rashid ad-Din mentioned a prominent commander Genghis Khan Khubilai [4] .

Kulhan had four sons, the eldest of whom was called Kuch. The great-grandson of Kulhan Ebugen, apparently, took part in the rebellion against Khubilai Khan and was executed [5] .
