It is a part of the Sholsky rural settlement [1] , from the point of view of the administrative-territorial division - into the Sholsky village council (until March 17, 2000 was the center of the Sotozersky village council [2] ).
Located on the shores of Sotozer. The distance to the district center of Belozersk along the highway is 121 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Zubovo in a straight line - 15 km. The nearest settlements are Novo , Timofeevskaya , Tsarevo .
According to the 2002 census, the population was 8 people [3] .
