It is part of the Sholsky rural settlement [1] , in terms of administrative-territorial division - in the Sholsky village council.

Located on the left bank of the Shola River . The distance by road to the regional center of Belozersk is 107 km, to the center of the municipality of the village of Zubovo - 17 km. The nearest settlements are Maksimovo , Pershino , Smolino .

According to the 2002 census, the population is 303 people (143 men, 160 women). The predominant nationality is Russian (98%) [2] .
