Overview
The song is one of the band’s first songs and was written in 2005 under the name "Hollywood". The name of the group itself is also associated with the song: after seeing the disc with the song, one friend of Jorel Decker (J-Dog) put the name of the song in front of the original name of the group “Undead” [1] .
In November 2005, the song entered the first MySpace Records collection under the title “No.5” [2] . In 2006, the first Hollywood Undead video clip for the song “No.5” was released, directed by Pax Franchot. In 2007, the song was supposed to be the fifth track of the band's unreleased album .
September 2, 2008 the album Swan Songs is released , in which the song becomes the fifth track. In the autumn of the same year, the second video clip directed by Yunas Okerlund was released .
Execution
The song opens with repeating lines of "Hollywood we never going down." Performed by Aron Erlichman (Deuce). The first verse is read by Jordan Terrell (Charlie Scene), the second verse by George Reagan (Johnny 3 Tears), the chorus sings by Deuce. The hip hop bridge performed by Dylan Alvarez (Funny Man) is interrupted by a short excerpt by Matthew St. Clair (Da Kurlzz) and Deuce's clean vocals.
