The 1938 USSR Cup final was the 3rd USSR Cup final. The match took place on September 14, 1938 at the Dynamo stadium in Moscow and became the third final of the USSR Cup at this stadium. The teams of Group A of the USSR Championship , Spartak Moscow and Elektrik from Leningrad met in the final. The match was judged by a judge from Kharkov Onishchenko.

Facts
- In the "Chronicle" [1] shows the composition of the team "Electric" in the final match, mentioned player - Kitaev. Such a player did not exist, Peter Karas should be written instead. Also the name of the attacker "Electric" - Latkov, as he was written in the newspapers of the forties. In subsequent reference books, Lotkov began to write the last name. Also the goal of Gusev - at 70 minutes, in the above-written protocol was written as a goal from a penalty, in the printed literature in the description of this match, Gusev scored from the game.
- The 1938 finals set a record for attendance at the USSR Cup finals. The match gathered 80,000 spectators.
- Kirill Nabutov, the father of a future famous sports commentator, television journalist and producer , played at the gate of Elektrika.
