Creativity of Lekim Ibragimov
The style of the works of Lekim Ibragimov combines painting, graphics and calligraphy. His work is a harmonious combination of Eastern and Western cultural heritage, modernism and poetic symbolism, traditional classical and abstract-surrealistic directions. [5] . The “visiting card” of Lekim Ibragimov's works is the image of an angel or several angels in each of his paintings.
The paintings of L. Ibragimov are exhibited at the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow, Russia), the State Museum of Art of Uzbekistan (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), the Museum of East Asia (Budapest, Hungary), the Novosibirsk State Art Museum (Russia), the State Museum of Art. A. Kasteev (Almaty, Kazakhstan), Gallery of the City Hall of Tavkerhen (Germany). His works are also in private collections in the United States, France, Italy, Israel, India, Austria, Japan, Germany, Russia.
Thousand Angels and One Picture
In 2000, Lekim Ibragimov came up with the idea to create a canvas based on the legendary oriental fairy tales "A Thousand and One Nights." The concept of this art project crystallized for ten years, the implementation of which L. Ibrahimov began in 2010. The project was named "Thousand Angels and One Picture . " It accurately reflects its essence, since this canvas consists of thousands of individual canvases. Each canvas is a complete picture in all respects, which depicts an angel. The area of the canvas is more than 500 square meters (8 meters high and 66 meters long) [6] At first glance, this solution resembles a mosaic familiar to all. However, this impression is erroneous, since the whole is not composed of individual unfinished parts. Here a metamorphosis takes place, during which individual independent units, united, form something integral, but completely different.
The presentation of the mega canvas was held in 2012 in Prague, in 2013 in Moscow (Gostiny Dvor) and in 2014 in Tashkent. The exhibition, held in Moscow, was attended by the international record registration agency Interrekord and registered two world records in the nominations "The biggest painting in the world, painted on canvas with oil by one artist" and "The largest number of angels in one picture."
