Record (TV)

Record - a brand of Soviet TVs , produced at the factory in the city of Alexandrov and at the Voronezh plant "Electrosignal" since the mid -1950s . Previously, both plants produced TVs brand KVN-49 . In post-Soviet times, the Alexander plant was the first to acquire the right to use the Record brand for its products. As a result of this, the Electrosignal plant renamed its products (Record TVs became known as VELS - In Voronezh Elektro s Ignal) [1] .

  • In 1956, the Record television model won the Big Gold Medal at an international exhibition in Brussels .
  • In the 1960s, every fifth Soviet family had a Record television.
  • The B-312 Record has become one of the most popular television sets in the USSR. It was produced from 1975 until the mid-80s.
  • In 1983, the production of the television set “Record VTs-311 / D” began. This is the first model of color TV with a screen size of 51 centimeters on the diagonal (before that there were only 25, 32, 40, 59.61 and 67) [1]
