Emblem Description
In the Decision of the district Assembly of the municipality "Mosalsky District" it is written: "To approve the Coat of Arms of the city of Mosalsk with the " Coat of Arms of the Mosalsky District "."
The literal description of the coat of arms of the Mosalsky district "in the Regulation on the coat of arms:
“The coat of arms of the Mosalsky district is the official symbol of the Mosalsky district and represents: in a silver field a black eagle crowned with the princely crown of the Chernigov princedom with a gold cross diagonally placed, which he holds in his left claws; on the right is a scarlet shield with a princely crown crowned with the golden letter “M”. The silver field of the shield has a serrated edge of a azure color. ”
On the website of the Union of Heraldists of Russia , with the assistance of which the coat of arms of the district was registered, the following description of the coat of arms of the district is presented [2] :
“In a silver field there is a black eagle armed with a golden beak and claws, crowned with a princely crown (with three visible leaf-shaped teeth), holding a scarlet shield in his right paw, crowned with the same princely crown. In the shield there is a golden letter “M”, followed by a power at the top and gametes of the same metal below. In the left paw there is a long (procession) golden cross into the band. The shield has a azure gear rim. "
Coat of Arms History
The coat of arms of the Mosalsky district was compiled by the Union of Heraldists of Russia on the basis of the historical coat of arms of Mosalsk.
The coat of arms of Mosalska was highly approved on March 10 ( 21 ) by Empress Catherine II [3] along with other emblems of the cities of Kaluga governorate (PSZ, 1777, Law No. 14596) [4] [5]
On January 20, 1997, the district Assembly of the Mosalsky District municipality approved the historical coat of arms of Mosalsk (1777) as the official symbol of the district.
There are inaccuracies in the description of the coat of arms of the region of the Regulation on the Coat of Arms (as amended in 1997) - the letter “M” does not crown the scarlet (with one-n) shield, but burdens it.
