Boris Tikhonovich Dobrodeev (born 1927) is a Soviet screenwriter. Laureate of the Lenin Prize ( 1982 ).

Biography
Born April 28, 1927 in Voronezh . He lived in Tbilisi for several years. In 1949 he graduated from the VGIK scenario department (among his classmates was Alexander Volodin ). In his student years, he worked part-time as a freelance special correspondent in the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda . During the “ little picture ” he was sent to Mosfilm, where he went from one of the four editors and then the senior editor (since 1952) of the script editorial department (led by Konstantin Kuzakov ) to the deputy editor-in-chief of this studio. Since 1957 he worked as a screenwriter. He worked in the cinema for almost 60 years. He participated in the creation of more than 80 art and full-length documentary films.

Of his screenwriting works in feature films, the most famous are:
- The television series Karl Marx. Young years . " In collaboration with A. B. Grebnev. Director L.A. Kulidzhanov (1980).
- “The First Teacher” Co-authored with Ch. T. Aitmatov (based on the eponymous novel by Ch. T. Aitmatov). Director A.S. Konchalovsky. Prize of the International Venice Festival (1965).
- “Particularly Important Mission” (two episodes). In collaboration with P. A. Popogrebsky. Director E.S. Matveev. The film is based on the dramatic story of the creation of the legendary Ilyushin attack aircraft "Il-2" (1980).
- The television series Sophia Kovalevskaya. In collaboration with D. Vasiliu. Director A.A. Shakhmalieva. About the difficult fate of an outstanding mathematician, one of the first Russian women to come to science (1985).
- “Beethoven's Life” (two episodes). Director B.D. Galanter (1979).
- The television series "Split." In collaboration with D. Vasiliu. Director S.N. Kolosov. The film is about the drama of Russian social democracy and its historical defeat at the Second Congress of the RSDLP, which later led to the victory of Bolshevism in Russia. And this is the story of Lenin’s human friendship with Martov, who later turned into mortal hostility (1993).
He worked in non-fiction films. According to the scripts he wrote, several dozens of documentary films were created, mainly in the historical and biographical genre. These are films about composers Beethoven, Borodin and Shostakovich, about writers Gorky and Erenburg, about scientists Mendeleev and Gubkin, about statesmen and politicians Krasin, Kollontai, Frunze, about pilot Chkalov and aircraft designer Ilyushin. Several documentary films based on B. Dobrodeev’s scripts are devoted to the anti-fascists of the 1930s and the events of the Spanish Civil War. Many documentaries on his scripts have received international recognition. Among them:
- " Friend of Gorky - Andreev " - about the actress and public figure M.F. Andreeva. The main prize of the International Film Festival in Leipzig "Golden Dove" (1966).
- “People of the Earth and Sky” - about the test pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union Yu. Garnayev. Silver Dove Award at the Leipzig International Film Festival (1968).
- “This is a restless student” - about the student riots of 1968. Prize of the International Union of Students at the Leipzig Film Festival (1974).
- "Nine days and all life" - about the doctor L. S. Soboleva, who saved people during three outbreaks of the plague. Grand Prize at the Oberhausen International Film Festival (1979).
- "Ninth height" - about the heroes of construction projects in Siberia (1977).
- “Airplanes sing” - about aircraft designer S.V. Ilyushin. Prize of the World Peace Council at the International Film Festival in Leipzig (1980).
- “We do not give up, we go” - about the international house in Ivanovo and about the fate of its pupils. Special prize at the International Film Festival in Leipzig (1984), USSR State Prize for 1984. B. Dobrodeev was presented to the USSR State Prize among the other creators of this film, but could not get it, because according to the then existing rules after receiving the previous prize (Lenin) for three years he could not be awarded another.
- “The troubling sky of Spain” is about Soviet volunteer pilots who participated in the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1938 (1985).
- “ Memories of Pavlovsk ” - about the life of the director of the palace near St. Petersburg Zelenova, about those who worked on its restoration (1983). The main prizes at the International Film Festivals in Oberhausen, Krakow and Tampere (1983). He was nominated for an Academy Award from the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts (1985).
- The film "Bitter. Recent years ”was in 1968 banned from showing and lay on the shelf for almost 20 years. In 1987, he was among the first films awarded by the Nika national film award.

- “Boris Barnet's Silent Cinema” is about the difficult fate of a world-famous master who did not “fit into” Stalin's cinema (2009).
- “General Douglas. Interrupted Flight ”- about the USSR Air Force commander in the 1930s, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Yakov Smushkevich, who fought in Spain and on Khalkhin Gol (2010).
