Institute for Political Studies ( Aix-en-Provence ) (French Institut d'études politiques d'Aix-en-Provence), often referred to as Sciences Po Aix, is a forge of the political and diplomatic elite of France . The campus of the Institute is located in the city center, opposite the Cathedral of the Holy Savior , and is located in a mansion designed by Georges Vallon in 1734. The mansion used to belong to the faculty of law of Aix-Marseille University.
Belongs to the " Big Schools" ( fr . G randes écoles ) - to the category of French higher education institutions, which includes the most famous and prestigious universities in the country, recruiting students according to the results of competitive exams, which are often preceded by studies in "classes for preparing for the Big Schools" ( CPGE - Classe préparatoire aux grandes écoles ).
