Geography
Habr National Park and the Ruchun Wildlife Reservation with a total area of more than 170 thousand hectares are an amazing green oasis in the desert climate of Kerman province.
The park consists of rugged rocky mountains, deep gorges, hilly plains, mountain and plain forests and steppes. Such a diverse combination distinguishes this park from other natural attractions of Iran.
The most significant part in the north of the Habr National Park is occupied by mountains, with a total area of about 15 thousand hectares. These mountains are considered a rich habitat for various plants. The three highest peaks are: Chahbarf 3845 meters high, Burj Shum (3750 meters) and Seritu (3700 meters).
This region has three climatic zones at once: cold, temperate and hot, and is organically included in the structure of the district.
Flora and Fauna
The diversity and density of flora and fauna in the Habr National Park, along with the community of local ecosystems and the presence of various animals and plants in them, created unique opportunities for outdoor activities in this park. The local fauna is represented by such mammals as mountain ram and mountain goat , Iranian antelope , leopard , wolf and mole , as well as birds ( wobble , golden eagle , vultures, larks).
Of the plants, wild olive , hold tree , sea wormwood , juniper , mountain cypress and astragalus are most often found. In general, in this area there are 6 species of plants, 15 mammals and 20 birds. Such a variety of flora and fauna has turned the Habr National Park into one of the objects of botanical and zoological research and nature tourism in Iran.
