Celetna street

The Royal Route ( Královská cesta ) is the name of the route that the Czech rulers traveled to the coronation.

It began at the Royal Court in Stara Mesto (near the Powder Tower ). Further, the path went along Celetnaya Street through the Old Town Square, past the Old Town Hall , through Malaya Ploshchad, along Karlovaya Street past Klementinum , through Krestonostsev Square to Charles Bridge , along Mostetskaya Street to Malostranskaya Square , along Nerudova and Ke Gradu Streets, through Gradchanskaya Square to Prague Castle. to St. Vitus Cathedral .

In modern form, the path was formed in the XVII century. Prior to this, the road led through Uvoz to Pogorzhelets, then the modern Ke Gradu Street did not yet exist.

Albrecht II was the first on the Royal Route in 1438, and the last Ferdinand I in 1836.
