The show was called Wrestlemania 13: The Fire and was held on March 23, 1997 , in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont , Illinois in Rosemont Haraisen . The show was commented on by Vince McMahon , Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler . Sean Michaels was a commentator on the main event.

- Steve Austin and Bret Hart on this Wrestlemania participated in the match against each other. And in 2006, Steve Austin brought Bret into the WWE Hall of Fame .
- This is the second Wrestlemania, which had Arabic numerals in its name (the first was Wrestlemania 2 ).
- It was the last Wrestlemania with classic red, white, and blue ropes, blue mats behind the ring, and steel fences around the ring.
