Clockwork Angels (" Clockwork Angels ") is the twentieth studio album of the rock band Rush , released June 12, 2012 . The disc was recorded in Blackbird Studio ( Nashville , USA) and in Revolution Recording ( Toronto , Canada).

Recording of the album began in April 2010 . The producer was Nick Rascalenix , who had previously worked with Rush on their last album, Snakes & Arrows . The first two songs “Caravan” and “BU2B” were recorded at Blackbird Studio in Nashville (USA).
Work on the album was resumed in the fall of 2011 at the Canadian studio Revolution Recording ( Toronto ). The arrangement of string bow instruments was undertaken by David Campbell [1] .
Clockwork Angels released two singles: Caravan (2010) and Headlong Flight (2012). With the release of the single in 2010, the group went on a Time Machine Tour (2010-2011) [1] .
American science fiction writer Kevin Jay Anderson performed [ when? ] a novelization of Clockwork Angels, together with drummer and Rush songwriter Neil Peart. [1]

The album received high marks from critics. Classic Rock named Clockwork Angels the best album of the group for the last 30 years [3] . Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles editor-in-chief Martin Popov gave the album a 10/10 rating [4] .
