Biography

In 1983, he received a doctorate in law from the University of Budapest . In 1986 - 1990 he was a researcher at the Institute of Sociology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences .

In 1988 he joined the Fides party. He was chairman of the National Council, vice president of Fides. In 2002 - 2006 he was the leader of the Fides faction in parliament.

In 1990-2009 he was a deputy of the Hungarian Parliament , in 1997-1998 and 2006-2009 - Vice-Speaker, in 1998-2002 - Speaker of the Parliament. In 2009-2012 - Member of the European Parliament .

May 2, 2012 elected President of Hungary ^[1] ^[2] ; took office on May 10, 2012 ^[3] .

On March 13, 2017, Janos Ader was elected President of Hungary for a second five-year term. May 8, 2017 took office.
