Henning Frenzel ( him. Henning Frenzel ; born May 3, 1942 in Gaithain ) is a German footballer, a bronze medalist at the 1964 Summer Olympics and the author of the fastest goal in these games.

Career
Club
He was a graduate of the motor school team "Motor" from Gaithain. He played throughout his career for the Leipzig Lokomotiv, in which he played 420 matches in the Oberliga and scored 152 goals. He won the title of top scorer for the season 1965/1966. In 2004, on the occasion of the revival of the club, he held a charity match against the Paulsdorf team.
In the national team
As part of the main and Olympic teams of the GDR played 72 matches and scored 27 goals. At the 1964 Olympics, however, he performed under the banner of the United Germany Olympic team. At the same Olympics, he scored four goals against Iran, Romania, Yugoslavia and Egypt, and Henning scored a goal against the Yugoslavs in the first minute of the game. The game of the forward brought the team bronze awards of the tournament.
