Ensemble

Heroes Alley consists of three parallel streets - earlier on this place were three different streets. On the sides of the alley is limited to residential eight-story buildings in the style of the Stalinist Empire . The facades of the houses are vertically divided into three parts: the lower one, in the form of a powerful rusticated wall with large openings; middle - three floors of a smooth wall with evenly spaced balconies ; and the third - in the form of a continuous series of pilasters . Buildings end with a powerful cornice [1] .

On the roofs of houses Nos. 1 and 2, models of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal received by the city for mass heroism and courage in defending the Motherland in the Great Patriotic War were installed.

One of the main elements in the architectural ensemble of the Alley of Heroes is the stelae of Heroes of the Soviet Union , on which the names of 127 heroes of Stalingrad are immortalized [2] .

A part of the territory of the alley and the square of the Fallen fighters is occupied by a cultural heritage site of federal significance “A memorial place where on January 31, 1943 the troops of the Don Front under the command of Colonel-General Rokossovsky Konstantin Konstantinovich completed the rout of the southern group of troops of fascist Germany, surrounded in the region of Stalingrad, and hoisted the Red Banner Victory .
